Princes and devil's

Llyn Idwal, a small lake in the so-called hanging valley of Cwm Idwal, part of the Glyderau range. In the backgroud the Devil's Kitchen.

The area is surrounded by legends and mysteries.
For example the legend of Idwal, the son of one of the ancient Princes of Wales, Owain, Prince of Gwyneddd. According to this legend Idwal was murdered by being drowned in the lake. As a result no bird flies over the lake.
